OH it is so stinking hot, I cant think of running, gardening, walking, or KNITTING!! Say it ain't so. I have never had this happen before. The running I am always looking for an excuse to get out of, gardening not so much, but knitting, it is like breathing. I always want to do it. I take it everywhere, I do it everywhere, I never apologize for it, and now I cant bear the thought. Even with the air on it is still to hot.
Last night we went to the beach and sat in our chairs at the waters edge with our feet in the water, reading a book. Now mind you the water feels like ice water, glacial run-off cold. But at a certian point I got in, and boy did it feel good to be in it. Chicagoans understand cold water is a good thing. After all isn't it here that Jan 1st every year we have a Polar Bear Plunge? Or maybe it takes that long for the summers heat to wear off, I dont know. I do know I will look forward to 80* temps again so I can start knitting the Hot Chocolate Hat I intend to wear in the race this year.

It could not be more perfect!!
So this is like the perfect Chicago day, about 69* Sunny and breezy, perfect for a short run, a little gardening and now a shower and dinner at Rich Bayless's Resturant with a friend. I love these days because they come far and few in between, and appreciating them is why we have them. I try to remember to always be thankful for a perfect day. I also got my first beautiful bowl of green and wax beans out of my garden!! God's bounty at it's best!!

It has shaped up to be a busy summer
WOW it is the middle of July and I cannot seem to get a minute to myself. I have been knitting on socks, a hat that I want done by November and a sweater. I have started spinning on a spindle and think I might be in love. The grass is growning as fast as the weeds, and cutting needs to happen, soon. Ravinia is having a great line-up this year and my DH seems to think we should move into the park. All in all it is turning out to be a great year and I am happy with this summer.
